way better than dubstep
agreeeeeed (although I like dubstep a lot too, when it’s actually good and not brostep)
I'm an incorrigibly geeky transboy with a love for neuropsychopharmacology, cacti (or plants and botany in general), weird music, spiders (and other cute animals), experimental film, might and magic, daggerfall, pokemon, and math (especially when symmetries are involved).

edIT - Crunk De Gaulle
Whoa I totally forgot about this album! Thanks for posting this.
Einstürzende Neubauten - Total Eclipse Of The Sun
I see your eclipse-related music and raise you a Boglord song.
Oh it’s on. :-P (not directly elcipse related but) you might like this Brief History of Oldskool Industrial and Noise with accompanying playlist I wrote and compiled. One of the things that disappoints me a bit with the way metal appropriates noise is that is it it relays heavily on distortion pedals for guitars to great textured and dark atmospheres. I generally don’t like music where the approach to composition is guitar-centric.
I actually agree with you. I do prefer industrial music to metal, but I tend to focus on the quieter sorts; :zoviet*france: and cohorts, Nurse With Wound, 90s and 00s Coil (thumbs up at the fact that you have Triple Sun on your playlist!). Guitar-centric composition is just… limiting in a way? I wish more metal bands were like Menace Ruine (which despite wanting to hear for a long time I have not heard due to my reluctance to pirate music from musicians whose work I want to support) and did away with the guitars altogether. But yeah I still like metal, when I want music that’s less engaging in the way that industrial music and dark ambient is.
Paul Williams - The Hell of It
I can’t get this song out of my head. I think it’s fucking brilliant.

Suggest me albums from before 1982 that I ought to listen to that I probably haven’t! Please?
